Programme Outcomes (POs, PSOs & COs)

As per UGC guidelines, all academic programmes at Samastipur College are designed with clearly defined Programme Outcomes (POs), Programme Specific Outcomes (PSOs), and Course Outcomes (COs).

Programme Outcomes (POs)

Generic outcomes expected from any graduate of the college:

• Disciplinary knowledge and skills
• Communication skills
• Critical thinking and problem solving
• Analytical reasoning and research-related skills
• Cooperation / Team work
• Scientific reasoning and digital literacy
• Moral and ethical awareness / reasoning
• Lifelong learning aptitude

Programme Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

Each department defines specific outcomes for its UG/PG programmes (e.g., outcomes of B.Sc. Botany, M.A. Hindi etc.). Please refer to the respective department page for detailed PSOs.

Course Outcomes (COs)

Each course / paper has specific outcomes mapped to PSOs and POs. These are documented in the course handbook prepared by the respective faculty.
